Woman Who Died After Balcony Fall in Southampton Named by Police
Police have named the woman who died following a fall from a balcony in Redbridge as 25 year old Tia Langdon, from Southampton.
Emergency services were called to a flat on Cuckmere Lane at around 2:45pm on Thursday, 28 August, after reports that a woman had fallen from a balcony. Upon arrival, they found Tia Langdon with serious injuries.
She was taken to hospital in critical condition, but despite the best efforts of medical staff, she was pronounced dead the following day.
In a statement released today (2 September), Hampshire Constabulary confirmed the identity of the victim and said that her family is being supported by specialist officers during this difficult time.
The force’s Major Crime Unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. Officers are urging anyone who may have witnessed anything unusual in the area around the time of the incident to come forward.

An 18 year old man from Southampton, arrested on suspicion of murder, remains in police custody.
