Van Strikes Pedestrian in Eastleigh – Police Appeal for Information

Police are appealing for witnesses, information, and dash cam footage following a road traffic collision involving a van and a pedestrian in Eastleigh last week.

The incident occurred at around 2.25pm on Tuesday, 26 August, on Shakespeare Road, at the junction with Woodside Avenue.

According to police, a van struck a female pedestrian with one of its wing mirrors. The woman sustained minor injuries as a result of the collision.

Following the incident, the van was seen turning left onto Woodside Avenue, and police are now working to identify the driver involved.

“Officers are trying to establish the identity of the driver of the van and would urge them, or anyone who knows their identity, to please get in touch with us,” a spokesperson for Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary said.

Police are also keen to hear from any witnesses or individuals who may have dash cam footage from the area around the time of the collision.
