Here at SOnews we believe that local news should be available to all, at zero cost. Unlike our larger, American owned, Bournemouth based competitor, who hide important stories behind a paywall.

As a small team, we strive to deliver good quality and important news to the community. We do this primarily through our Facebook page, and are now beginning to increase our web presence. Our ultimate goal is to be Southampton’s number one choice for news.

We love our city and want to provide a service for the community. As we continue to grow, we are looking into setting up events and working with local charities. We are not profit driven however the website is funded by adverts which you may see on our site.
