Three Arrested After Early Morning Vehicle Stop in Totton

Three people have been arrested and a quantity of items seized following a vehicle stop by police in Totton during the early hours of this morning.

At approximately 3:00am on Friday, 3 October, officers from Hampshire Constabulary’s Roads Policing Unit pulled over a vehicle travelling on the A35. The stop led to the arrest of two adults and one teenager from Southampton.

A 40 year old man and a 27 year old woman were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the offer to supply a Class B drug, as well as possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. Both individuals remain in police custody at this time while enquiries continue.

A 16 year old boy, also from Southampton, was arrested on suspicion of driving a motor vehicle with a proportion of a specified controlled drug above the legal limit and possession of a Class B drug. He has since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

During the search of the vehicle, officers recovered a quantity of suspected cannabis, cash, several mobile phones, and a baton.
