Stolen Vehicle Recovered After Dramatic Woolston Chase

A stolen vehicle has been recovered following a pursuit through the streets and playing fields of Woolston.

Officers from the Rural Crime Taskforce (RCTF), working with the Roads Policing Unit (RPU), first identified the vehicle, which had been stolen from the Fareham area. When officers attempted to stop it, the driver fled, sparking a pursuit through local roads.

The vehicle managed to temporarily evade officers but was later located by RPU, with the assistance of PS Cork and PC Bustin from the RCTF. The car had been driven off-road across playing fields and became stuck in a narrow wooded lane. No suspects were found at the scene.

Investigations confirmed the vehicle was the one reported stolen from Fareham and that it was running on cloned number plates from another county. The vehicle has been seized for forensic examination.

Police say enquiries are ongoing as they work to identify and locate those responsible.
