Southampton Man Jailed for Theft and Breaching Criminal Behaviour Order

A 35-year-old man from Southampton has been jailed after pleading guilty to multiple theft offences and breaching a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).

David Graham Cullen, of Burlington Road, was sentenced at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday (28 January) to 12 weeks in prison and ordered to pay a £154 victim surcharge.

The sentence follows a theft from Superdrug on Station Road, New Milton on 21 January. By entering the store, Cullen breached the conditions of his CBO, which prohibited him from visiting certain shops.

Cullen was also found guilty of stealing a bicycle from an address on Old Milton Road, New Milton. Thanks to a tracking device fitted to the bike, the victim was quickly reunited with their property at Davis Field.

Southampton Magistrates’ Court concluded that the combination of theft offences and the breach of his CBO warranted immediate custodial sentencing.
