Police Seek Public Help to Identify Woman Linked to Hedge End Shoplifting
Police are appealing for help to identify a woman they would like to speak to in connection with a reported shoplifting incident in Hedge End.
The incident is said to have taken place between 6.20pm and 6.50pm on Monday, 12 January, at the Next store on Charles Watts Way. It has been reported that bedding worth £106 was stolen during the incident.
Officers have released a description of a woman they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries. She is described as white, in her early 30s, approximately 5ft 4ins tall, with brown hair. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a dark grey jumper and a long black bodywarmer, and was carrying a brown bag.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary is urging the woman, or anyone who recognises her, to come forward. Police are also keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time.
