Man charged over two Southampton burglaries
A man has been charged in connection with two burglaries in Southampton and is due to appear in court today (11 February).
The charges relate to incidents reported in Portswood and Coxford last year.
Police were first called to Redhill Close on 17 July after reports that a man had entered a property. He was chased away before anything was stolen. Officers attended the scene and gathered evidence, including forensic samples.
A second incident occurred on 23 December in Sandpiper Road, Coxford. On that occasion, a man reportedly entered a property and stolen tools. Officers again attended and collected evidence, including forensic samples.
Joshua Wicks, 21, of Warburton Road, Southampton, has been charged with two counts of burglary.
He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today.
