Man Arrested in Connection with Parcel Thefts in Eastleigh
Police have arrested a 48 year old man in connection with a series of parcel thefts believed to have taken place across Eastleigh.
According to Eastleigh Police, the suspect was detained following reports of multiple packages due to be delivered by courier company Evri being stolen. Officers believe there may be additional unreported offences linked to the same suspect.
The thefts are understood to have occurred primarily in the Stoneham Estate area, though police say the incidents may extend beyond that location.
Police Sergeant Dan, from Eastleigh Police, confirmed the arrest and urged members of the public who believe they may have been affected to come forward.
“We are aware of several reports and believe there may be many more offences that have not yet been reported,” PS Dan said. “If you think you have been a victim, please contact us to report it.”
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or report online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website.
Police have also requested that members of the public avoid speculation on social media while the investigation continues.
The investigation remains ongoing.
