Appeal after man injured in Warsash assault
Police are appealing for witnesses after a 34-year-old man was assaulted in Warsash during the early hours of Saturday, 7 February.
The South Central Ambulance Service contacted officers at 1.38am after the man reported he had been attacked. He was treated for injuries to his face and head, along with bruising to his legs.
Officers believe the victim had left The Hook pub with a friend before being assaulted by a man he did not know on Warsash Road, near Dibles Road, sometime between 12.15am and 1.30am.
Enquiries are ongoing, including a review of CCTV footage from the surrounding area.
Police are now urging anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything suspicious to come forward. Officers are also keen to hear from anyone with CCTV, dashcam, mobile phone or doorbell camera footage that could assist the investigation.
