Witnesses Sought After Teenage E-Bike Rider Seriously Injured in Eastleigh Collision

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious road traffic collision involving an electric bike and a van in Eastleigh.

The incident happened at around 9.20pm on Thursday 11 December on Chestnut Avenue, approximately a quarter of a mile from the roundabout at the junction with Passfield Avenue.

A teenage boy riding an electric bike was involved in a collision with a stationary Ford Transit van. He sustained serious injuries and remains in hospital, although his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Officers are carrying out enquiries and are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time of the collision. This includes anyone who witnessed the incident itself, saw the moments leading up to it, or arrived shortly afterwards.

Police are also urging anyone who may have captured relevant footage, including dash-cam, CCTV, doorbell camera or mobile phone recordings, to come forward.
