Police Appeal for Help After £35,000 Wine and Jewellery Stolen in Brook Burglary

Date: 2 July, 2025

Hampshire Police are appealing for information after valuable jewellery and rare wine were stolen during a burglary in the village of Brook, in the New Forest.

The burglary took place in February this year at a private home located off the B3079. Officers have now released images of some of the stolen items in the hope that members of the public may recognise them or know where they are.

Among the stolen items are two rings and two bottles of wine, including one particularly rare vintage bottle estimated to be worth £35,000.

Also taken during the burglary were:
• A single diamond necklace
• A topaz pendant on a chain
• A sapphire and diamond cluster ring
• A pair of yellow and white gold stud earrings, each set with a single diamond

Police believe the stolen goods may have since been offered for sale and are asking anyone who has seen or been approached about these items to come forward.

Members of the public with any information are urged to contact police on 101, quoting crime number 44250249272. Alternatively, anonymous tips can be shared with Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111.

Even the smallest detail could prove crucial in recovering the stolen property and identifying those responsible.
