Two further arrests after fatal shooting in Coxford
Two more people have been arrested as detectives continue to investigate the fatal shooting of a man in Coxford, Southampton.
Emergency services were called to Conifer Road at around 8pm on Wednesday, 11 February, following reports that a man had suffered a gunshot wound inside a property.
Officers found 45-year-old Piotr Pruszak, a Polish national who was living in Southampton, with serious injuries. Despite receiving treatment at the scene, he was pronounced dead.
His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary.
A 31-year-old man from Southampton was arrested at the address on suspicion of murder and possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life. He remains in custody after detectives secured warrants for further detention, including a 24-hour extension granted on Saturday, 14 February.
On Sunday, 15 February, a 57-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were also arrested on suspicion of aiding and abetting aggravated burglary. Both remain in custody while enquiries continue.
Police said officers are carrying out patrols in the area as part of ongoing investigations and have urged anyone with information to come forward.
