Teenagers Killed in Corhampton Crash Named by Police

Two teenagers who died in a fatal road traffic collision in Corhampton have been formally named by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary.

Police were called at 2:47am on Sunday, 13 July, following reports that a grey Hyundai i20 had collided with a tree on Corhampton Lane.

The driver, 16 year old Damien “Damo” Dean, from Denmead, and the front-seat passenger, 17 year old Mason Renhard, from Eastleigh, were both pronounced dead at the scene.

In a statement, police confirmed that the families of both boys have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.

An investigation into the circumstances of the crash is ongoing. Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who has relevant dashcam footage from the area around the time of the collision to come forward.

“We are urging anyone who saw the vehicle prior to the collision or who may have information that could assist our investigation to contact us,” a spokesperson for the police said.

Members of the public are also being asked to refrain from speculating about the incident on social media while enquiries continue.
