Police Seek Witnesses After Bus Driver Assaulted in Eastleigh
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has issued an appeal for information after a bus driver was reportedly assaulted in Eastleigh.
The incident happened between 7.30pm and 7.35pm on Saturday, 13 September, on a bus travelling along Underwood Road. According to police, a passenger pushed the bus driver in the chest before leaving the vehicle.
Officers are now trying to identify a man they believe may have information that could assist the investigation. He is described as white, aged between 55 and 60, around 6ft tall, with a medium build and white hair. He was reportedly walking with a crutch and wearing a dark Mercedes baseball cap along with a white Adidas football shirt with red detailing.
Police have released an image of the man they wish to speak with and are urging him—or anyone who recognises him—to come forward.
Witnesses or anyone with mobile phone footage from the bus are also being asked to contact officers.
