Portsmouth Woman Charged with Assault and Shoplifting in Chandler’s Ford

A 43 year old woman from Portsmouth has been charged with assault by beating and shoplifting following an incident at a shop in Chandler’s Ford.

The incident took place at Aldi on Chestnut Avenue at approximately 11:30am on Monday (10 November). According to police, the woman was involved in a physical altercation during the shoplifting incident.

Charlotte Louise Browne, of Nelson Road, Portsmouth, has been formally charged and bailed to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, 10 February 2026.
