Police Seek Public’s Help Following Reported Theft at Hedge End Clothing Store

Police are appealing for the public’s help to identify three people they would like to speak to in connection with a reported shoplifting in Hedge End.

The incident is said to have taken place at the Next store on Charles Watts Way between 4.35pm and 4.50pm on Thursday 5 February. It is reported that children’s clothing and a bedding set worth £253 were stolen.

Officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have released descriptions of a woman and two men who they believe could assist with their investigation.

The woman is described as white, aged in her mid to late 40s, approximately 5ft 7ins tall, with blonde hair. She was reportedly wearing a large black coat with a light grey top underneath, dark leggings and carrying a large black bag.

The first man is described as white, aged in his mid to late 40s, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, and wearing a dark coat and dark trousers.

The second man is described as white, aged around 30 years old, approximately 5ft 9ins tall, and wearing a two-tone baseball cap, a light and dark grey coat, and black trousers.

Police believe the three individuals may be able to help with their enquiries and are urging them, or anyone who recognises them, to come forward.
