Man Sought in Connection with Shoplifting Incident in Totton

Police are appealing to the public for help identifying a man they wish to speak to in connection with a reported shoplifting incident at The Liquor Store on Commercial Road, Totton.

The incident occurred between 8.13pm and 8.20pm on Saturday, 9 August, when a man attempted to steal items from the store. According to reports, the man threatened a staff member when confronted about the attempted theft.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have released images of the man they believe could assist with their enquiries and are urging him—or anyone who recognises him—to come forward.

“We believe the man in these images can help us with our investigation and would urge him, or anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us,” said a spokesperson for the police.

Police are also asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident, seen anything suspicious in the area at the time, or has any relevant CCTV, mobile phone, or dash cam footage to contact them as part of the ongoing investigation.
