Man Charged After Drugs Warrant Executed in Eastleigh

A man has been charged after police officers uncovered a cannabis grow during a drugs warrant in Eastleigh.

Officers from the Eastleigh Neighbourhood Enforcement Team and the Neighbourhood Policing Team carried out a Section 23 Misuse of Drugs Act warrant at a property on Nightingale Avenue shortly after 8am on Thursday, 13 November.

Forced entry was made to the address, where officers found cannabis plants along with a quantity of harvested cannabis. All items were seized at the scene.

A 25 year old man from Eastleigh was arrested in connection with the discovery. He has since been charged with being concerned in the production of a Class B controlled drug.

The suspect, named as Sebastian Lasku, of Nightingale Avenue, is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today (Friday, 14 November).
