Christmas Markets Open Across Hampshire and Isle of Wight – Police Urge Festive Safety
As Christmas markets begin opening this week, town centres across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight are filling with festive cheer—and crowds. The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary is reminding residents and visitors to enjoy the festivities safely.
A spokesperson for the constabulary said, “We want you to enjoy the festivities safely. If something doesn’t seem right, please speak to staff, security, or the police.”
The force emphasised that public awareness plays a key role in keeping everyone safe. “Your awareness can make a real difference in keeping everyone safe,” the spokesperson added.
In the event of an emergency, the constabulary reminded the public to always call 999.
