Teenager Arrested in Hythe Following Reported Threats and Assault

A 14 year old boy from Hythe has been arrested in the early hours of this morning on suspicion of making threats to kill and common assault.

The arrest, which took place shortly after 5am, follows an incident reported outside a property in Hythe late on the night of Monday 18 August. According to police, a boy was reportedly seen shouting, swearing, and making threats toward residents at the address.

Officers from both the Waterside Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) and the District Policing Team (DPT) were involved in the investigation that led to this morning’s arrest. The teenager is currently being held in police custody as enquiries continue.

The arrest is part of an ongoing effort to address public safety concerns in the local community.
