Man Arrested After Attempted Burglary in Mousehole Lane

Police have arrested a 34 year old man from Southampton following an attempted burglary in Mousehole Lane in the early hours of this morning.

At around 2.15am, officers on patrol were called to reports of a man trying to gain entry to a house in the area. When they arrived, police found a man on the roof of the property, where it is believed he was attempting to get in through an upstairs window.

The man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of burglary and remains in police custody as enquiries continue.
