Appeal for Witnesses After Assault in Chandlers Ford

Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Chandlers Ford on Thursday evening.

The incident happened between 6:35pm and 6:45pm on 13 November, when a man in his 40s was walking along Falkland Road. He was approached by an unknown man who kicked and punched him, leaving him with minor injuries.

Officers have released a description of the suspect. He is described as white, aged between 20 and 30, around 5ft 10in to 6ft tall, with a slim build and unshaven facial hair. He spoke with an Irish accent and was wearing a dark hooded jumper, a baseball cap and jogging bottoms. He was also carrying a single-strap bag, a phone and a can of drink.

Police say a van stopped briefly at the scene, and they are keen to speak with the driver, who may have valuable information.
