£4,000 Damage Caused in Aldi Break-In – Two Men Charged

Two men have been charged in connection with a burglary at an Aldi store in Southampton which caused thousands of pounds worth of damage.

The incident took place on Friday, 5 September, at the Aldi branch on Bursledon Road. According to police, approximately £4,000 worth of damage was caused during the break-in, and goods valued at over £500 were stolen.

David Leach, 31, of Ellwood Avenue, and Matthew Leach, 26, of Padwell Road, have both been charged with burglary in relation to the incident.

The pair appeared before Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 8 September. They were granted bail and are due to return to court at a later date.
