Witnesses Sought After Vehicle Window Smashed with Bike Chain at Chandler’s Ford Asda
Police are appealing for witnesses and any relevant footage following a reported altercation and incident of criminal damage in the car park of Asda on Bournemouth Road.
The incident occurred at around 10am on Friday, 29 August, when an altercation between two men reportedly escalated, resulting in the rear window of a vehicle being smashed with a bike chain.
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed that they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident and are urging anyone who may have been in the area at the time to come forward.
“Were you in the area at the time? Did you witness anything of this incident? Do you have any footage of the incident which may assist us in our investigation, including mobile phone or dash cam?”
A 37 year old man from Southampton was arrested in connection with the incident on suspicion of criminal damage, common assault, and blackmail. He has since been released on conditional police bail, pending further investigation.
