Two Men Arrested in Totton Following Vehicle Stop and Drug Seizure
Two men have been arrested following a vehicle stop in Totton that led to the seizure of drugs, cash, and tools suspected to be linked to vehicle crime.
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary stopped a vehicle shortly after 7pm on Tuesday, 8 July, in the area of Stirling Close. Following a search of the vehicle, police detained two men on suspicion of multiple offences related to vehicle theft and drug supply.
A 21 year old man from Southampton was arrested on suspicion of going equipped for the theft of a motor vehicle, handling stolen goods, being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug, and the fraudulent use of a registration mark.
A 24 year old man from Horsham, West Sussex, was arrested on suspicion of going equipped for the theft of a motor vehicle, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, possession of a Class B controlled drug, and being concerned in the supply of a Class B drug.
Police also seized a quantity of cannabis, a sum of cash, and various tools believed to be linked to criminal activity.
Both men have since been released on conditional police bail while officers continue their enquiries.
