Teenager Charged Over Brockenhurst Shoplifting and Hythe Car Theft
A 14 year old boy from Hythe has been charged with multiple offences following a reported theft from the Co-op Welcome store on Brookley Road in Brockenhurst earlier this month.
The incident occurred on Monday 8 September and resulted in a police investigation. Hampshire Constabulary confirmed that the teenager has now been charged in connection with the incident, along with further unrelated offences.
Due to legal restrictions, the boy cannot be named.
He has been charged with the following offences:
• Shoplifting
• Common assault
• Assault on a constable in the execution of their duty
• Breach of a Criminal Behaviour Order
• Theft from a motor vehicle, following a separate reported incident in Hythe on Monday 21 October 2024
The boy has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court this morning (Tuesday 23 September).
