Appeal for Witnesses After 17 Cars Stolen from Southampton Cruise Parking Facility

Police are appealing for information following the theft of 17 vehicles from a cruise parking facility in Southampton.

The incident took place at Southampton Cruise Parking Services on First Avenue between the evening of Tuesday 9 September and the early hours of Wednesday 10 September. Officers were called to the scene at approximately 7:40am on Wednesday after reports of a suspected break-in.

Upon arrival, police discovered that 17 cars had been stolen from the secure facility, which provides parking services for cruise passengers travelling from Southampton Port.

The investigation is being led by Detective Constable Edward Smith, who confirmed that police are working closely with the operating company and local partners to gather evidence.

“We don’t underestimate the significant impact this incident has had on the victims, who have returned from their holidays to discover their car stolen,” said DC Smith.

“We continue to keep those victims updated with the progress of our investigation, which our team is working incredibly hard on to ensure those responsible are arrested.

“We continue to progress several lines of enquiry, including a full review of CCTV from the scene and surrounding areas.”

Police confirmed that six of the 17 stolen vehicles have already been recovered, and those owners have been informed.

The force is now urging anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area, or who may have relevant CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage, to come forward.
