Suspected Stolen Boat Trailer Recovered in New Forest – Police Appeal for Owner

Police are appealing for information following the recovery of a suspected stolen triple-axle boat trailer in the New Forest.

The trailer was discovered by the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary’s Rural Crime Taskforce on Sunday, 29 June, on Shepherds Road in Bartley. At the time of recovery, a diesel container was found loaded on top of the trailer, though officers have not confirmed whether it was present when the trailer was originally taken.

The Constabulary is now working to identify the rightful owner and determine the circumstances surrounding its appearance in the area.

“We’re appealing to anyone who believes this trailer may be theirs, or who has any information about its ownership, to come forward,” a police spokesperson said. “If you’ve had a trailer stolen matching the one pictured, please get in touch with us at the earliest opportunity.”

How to Respond

Anyone who recognises the trailer or may have information relevant to the investigation is urged to contact police by calling 101, quoting incident number 44250288037.

Information can also be submitted online through the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary’s website.
