Red Funnel Announces Ferry Cancellations Due to Repair Works

Red Funnel has announced a series of ferry service cancellations this week due to urgent repair works on one of its vessels.

The company confirmed that maintenance is required on the passenger gangway of the Red Eagle, necessitating the cancellation of select evening sailings between Southampton and East Cowes.

The affected sailings are as follows:
• Wednesday, 9 July
• Saturday, 12 July
• Monday, 14 July

On each of these dates, the 8:15pm sailing from Southampton to East Cowes and the 9:45pm sailing from East Cowes to Southampton will not operate.

Red Funnel has stated that all customers booked on these services will be contacted directly and provided with revised travel times or alternative arrangements.

The company has apologised for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates customers’ patience while these essential repairs are carried out.
