Police Seek Witnesses After Woman Exposes Herself in Lymington
Police are appealing for information and witnesses following a reported incident of indecent exposure that occurred in Lymington yesterday afternoon.
According to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, the incident took place between 4.30pm and 4.40pm on 25 August on Priestlands Road, where it was reported that a woman indecently exposed herself in public.
Officers say the woman, who was described as wearing only a pink T-shirt, also verbally abused a member of the public who challenged her behaviour.
Authorities are particularly keen to trace two boys, believed to be between 10 and 12 years old, who may have witnessed the incident. The boys are both described as white, with dark hair, and were wearing dark shorts and T-shirts.
Police are urging parents in the area to speak with their children. If a child has mentioned seeing anything unusual on Priestlands Road at the time, or matches the description of the boys in question, officers would like to hear from them.
A 57 year old woman from Lymington has since been arrested on suspicion of exposure and common assault, and remains in police custody while enquiries continue.
Police have asked anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information to get in touch.
