Police Release CCTV Images Following Assault at Bursledon Tesco Extra

Police have released CCTV images of a man they wish to speak to in connection with an assault at Tesco Extra on Hamble Lane in Bursledon.

The incident occurred at approximately 5.35pm on Friday, 15 August. A man in his 40s was reportedly pushed into a set of milk cages by an unknown male inside the store. The victim sustained bruising as a result of the assault.

Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary are appealing for help to identify a man captured on CCTV who may have information that could assist their investigation.

The man is described as:
• Tanned
• Aged in his 50s
• Approximately 6ft tall
• Of very large build
• Bald with stubble
• Wearing a white polo shirt and brown shorts at the time of the incident

A spokesperson for the police said:

“We believe the man in these images can help us with our investigation and would urge him, anyone who knows his identity, to get in touch with us. If you witnessed anything of the incident, saw anything suspicious in the area at the time, or have any CCTV, mobile phone or dash cam footage which could aid our investigation, please contact us.”
