Police Appeal for Witnesses After Thousands of Pounds of Damage Caused to Vehicles in Bartley

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an incident of criminal damage in Bartley that left two vehicles severely scratched, causing thousands of pounds worth of damage.
The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, shortly after 3.30am on Friday, 6 June. According to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, the suspect is believed to have deliberately scratched both vehicles while they were parked, resulting in significant repair costs.
Officers are keen to identify and speak to a man seen in the area at the time. He is described as wearing dark clothing and a hooded top with the hood up.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, or who may have relevant footage from doorbell cameras, CCTV, mobile phones, or dash cams, to come forward and assist with the investigation.
Hampshire Constabulary understand this incident has caused considerable distress and financial burden to the victims. They are asking anyone who was in the Bartley area around the time of the incident, or who saw a man matching the description, to get in touch. Even the smallest detail could help identify the person responsible.
