Motorist Faces Court Over Alcohol and MOT Violations in Southampton
A 39-year-old man has been charged with two offences after a vehicle stop on Stoneham Way last week.
Mariusz Kolecki, of Park Street, faces charges of driving with an alcohol level above the legal limit and using a motor vehicle on a road without a valid test certificate.
The incident occurred shortly before midnight on Tuesday 16 December, when officers from Hedge End’s District Policing Team and Neighbourhood Policing Team stopped the vehicle. A BMW was also seized under Section 165 of the Road Traffic Act 1988.
Kolecki has been bailed to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday 19 March.
Police continue to remind drivers of the serious consequences of drink-driving and failing to maintain a valid MOT certificate.
