Man Carjacked at Knifepoint in Early-Morning Millbrook Incident

A young man was carjacked at knifepoint in the early hours of Wednesday, 9 July, on Paignton Road in the Millbrook area of Southampton.

The incident occurred at approximately 12:30am while the victim was dropping off a friend. He was approached by two males wearing balaclavas. One of the suspects produced a knife and demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle.

The victim complied, handing over the keys. No injuries were reported.

“Luckily, my son just gave them the keys and wasn’t hurt,” the victim’s parent said in a statement.

The two suspects fled the scene in the stolen vehicle. In the moments following the theft, one of the victim’s phones was reportedly thrown from the car. A second phone was later found discarded near the junction past Tesco on Trebourn Way.

The incident has been reported to Hampshire Constabulary. The crime reference number is 44250305699.
