Man Charged Following Series of Reported Vehicle Incidents in West End
A 24 year old man from West End has been charged in connection with a series of reported vehicle-related incidents and an alleged shoplifting offence, police have said.
Jamie William Gerald Davis, of Creedy Gardens, West End, appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 4 December. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear again at the same court on Thursday, 22 January.
According to police, all but one of the charges relate to reported incidents involving vehicle interference and handling stolen goods. These incidents were said to have taken place on Arun Road, Hayle Road and Cottage Gardens in West End, as well as Avon Road in Southampton.
A further charge concerns a reported shoplifting offence at the Sainsbury’s store on Tollbar Way, Hedge End.
Police say the incidents were reported to them between September and October.
