Man charged following burglary at AFC Totton

A 34 year old man from the New Forest has been charged in connection with a burglary at AFC Totton.

Steven Frederick Michael Scaum, of no fixed abode, appeared at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 11 December, charged with burglary from an outbuilding. He was remanded in custody and is due to return to the same court on Tuesday, 16 December.

The charge follows a report of a forced entry into a storage shed at AFC Totton on Salisbury Road during the early hours of Thursday, 20 November. Police say tools were stolen during the incident.

Scaum has also been charged with four shoplifting offences at stores in Dibden Purlieu and Hythe, which are alleged to have taken place between October and November.
