Man Charged After Residential Burglary and Vehicle Theft

Police have charged a man after a burglary on Manor Farm Road last week.

Officers were called at around 4:40 pm on Thursday, 29 January, following reports that a house had been broken into. Stolen items included cash, camera lenses, jewellery, and a Kia Sportage, which was taken from the driveway.

The stolen vehicle was spotted on Northam Road at around 4 pm on Monday, 2 February. The Kia, which had three occupants, was stopped by officers. A search of the vehicle uncovered some of the stolen items.

Dariusz Serej, 46, of Denzil Avenue, Southampton, has been charged with burglary dwelling and theft. He is due to appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court today (4 February).

The two other individuals arrested—a 28-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man—have been released on bail while police continue their enquiries.
