Dibden Tesco Incident: Police Seek Woman After Theft Attempt and Racial Abuse
Police are appealing for information following an attempted shoplifting incident and report of racial abuse at the Tesco store on Sizer Way in Dibden.
The incident occurred on Sunday, 29 June, when a woman reportedly attempted to steal items valued at nearly £1,000 from the supermarket. Fortunately, staff were able to recover the items at the store’s exit before the woman was removed from the premises.
In addition to the attempted theft, a staff member was reportedly subjected to racial abuse during the incident.
Since the report was made, officers from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary have been conducting enquiries and are now in a position to release CCTV images of a woman they wish to speak to in connection with the investigation.
