CCTV Images Released in Totton Shoplifting and Public Order Investigation
Police have released CCTV images of two women they wish to speak to in connection with an attempted shoplifting and subsequent public order incident at the Asda supermarket on Maynard Road, Totton.
The incident occurred between 9:35am and 11:05am on Thursday, 26 June. According to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, two women reportedly attempted to steal items from the store. When challenged by staff, one of the women became verbally abusive and aggressive.
Officers are now appealing for the public’s help to identify the individuals captured on CCTV, as they may have vital information that could assist the ongoing investigation.
The first woman is described as:
• White
• Aged in her 40s
• Around 5ft 6ins tall
• With dark hair tied in a messy bun
• Wearing a white T-shirt with a cherry print and shorts
The second woman is described as:
• White
• Also aged in her 40s
• Approximately 5ft 7ins tall
• With dirty blonde hair
• Wearing a pink and orange top and black leggings
Police are urging anyone who recognises the women, witnessed the incident, or has relevant footage—including CCTV, mobile phone recordings, dash cam, or doorbell camera—from the area at the time to come forward.
