CCTV Image Released in Fraud Investigation Across Lymington and New Milton

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they wish to identify as part of an ongoing fraud investigation linked to incidents in Lymington and New Milton.
The appeal follows a series of fraudulent transactions reported at multiple stores in both towns between 10am and 4pm on Tuesday, 20 May. According to Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary, an unknown man allegedly attempted to use counterfeit £50 notes to purchase items.
Officers are keen to speak with the man pictured, who they believe may have valuable information that could assist with their enquiries.
Police have described the man as:
• White
• Aged between 30 and 40 years old
• Large build
• Dark beard
• Notably, he had a bandage on his left arm at the time
Police are urging anyone who recognises the individual, or who may have seen anything suspicious in the area on the day in question, to come forward. They are also appealing for any relevant CCTV, dashcam, mobile phone or doorbell footage that could help with the investigation.
