Bronze Deer Statue Stolen Overnight in Lyndhurst

Police are appealing for witnesses after a bronze deer statue was reported stolen from outside a property in Lyndhurst.

The incident is believed to have taken place on Gosport Lane between 11pm on Tuesday, 10 March, and 8.05am on Wednesday, 11 March. Officers say the statue was removed overnight and are now urging anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area to come forward.

Investigators are particularly keen to hear from residents or motorists who may have captured footage of the incident on doorbell cameras, CCTV systems or dashcams. They are also asking anyone with information about the current whereabouts of the statue to contact them.

Anyone who can assist is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 44260116938. Information can also be submitted online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website.

Police say even small details could help progress enquiries and are encouraging the local community to remain vigilant and report anything unusual.
