Appeal for Witnesses After Reported Sexual Assault on Bus Between Hythe and Fawley
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a reported sexual assault on a late-night bus service travelling between Hythe and Fawley.
The incident occurred on the No.9 Blue Star bus between 11:50pm on Saturday, 20 September, and 12:10am on Sunday, 21 September.
According to police reports, a teenage girl was inappropriately touched by an unknown man while on board the bus. Officers are now seeking assistance from the public to help identify the suspect and gather any further information that may support the investigation.
The man police wish to speak to in connection with the incident is described as:
• White
• Of skinny build
• Aged between 18 and 20 years
• Over 5ft 11ins tall
• With brown hair
• Wearing a tan-coloured tracksuit
Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
Investigators are urging anyone who was travelling on the bus during that time to come forward. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the incident or recognises the description of the suspect. Members of the public with relevant footage are also encouraged to get in touch.
