Witnesses Sought After Serious Collision in Southampton Lidl Car Park
Police are appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a serious collision involving a pedestrian in Southampton.
Officers were called at around 6.15pm on Tuesday, 4 November, after reports of a pedestrian struck by a car in the Lidl car park on Shirley Road. Investigators believe the incident occurred approximately 45 minutes earlier, at around 5.30pm.
The pedestrian, a woman in her 40s, sustained serious but not life-threatening injuries.
According to police, the driver involved — described as a Black man — initially stopped at the scene but left before providing any personal details. Despite reviewing CCTV footage, officers have not yet been able to identify the vehicle.
Police are urging anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have relevant dash-cam footage to contact 101, quoting reference 44250499261.
