Weekend Park & Ride offers £3 travel into Southampton city centre
Residents and visitors can travel into Southampton city centre for just £3 thanks to the Southampton Weekend Park & Ride scheme, offering a sustainable and affordable transport option for families and groups of friends.
The £3 ticket covers up to five people and is available at the Park & Ride site at Adanac Park (SO16 0AZ), located just off the M271 at Junction 1. Services provide convenient links into the city centre and to St Mary’s Stadium on matchdays.
The PR1 service operates between Adanac Park and Westquay throughout the weekend. On Saturdays, buses run up to every 20 minutes from 7am to 7pm, with services every 30 minutes from 7pm until 8.30pm. On Sundays and bank holidays, buses operate up to every 20 minutes from 9am to 6pm.
A dedicated PR2 service runs on weekend matchdays, taking passengers to Kingsway, a short walk from St Mary’s Stadium. This service operates for three hours before kick-off and continues for two hours after the match has finished.
The PR1 service will be running as normal this weekend, while the PR2 matchday service will operate next week for Southampton FC’s home fixture against Millwall FC on New Year’s Day.
Tickets can be purchased directly on the bus or via the Bluestar app. The £3 promotional fare will remain in place until Sunday 4 January 2026.
