Two die in A30 collision near Nether Wallop as police appeal for witnesses

Two people have died following a collision involving a car and a lorry on the A30 near Nether Wallop.

Police were called just before 3pm on Tuesday, 17 February, to reports of a serious crash on A30 Stockbridge Road.

The incident involved a silver Vauxhall Corsa and a heavy goods vehicle (HGV). Emergency services attended but, despite their efforts, both occupants of the Corsa — a man in his 80s and a woman in her 70s — were pronounced dead at the scene.

Their next of kin have been informed.

An investigation is ongoing to establish the circumstances leading up to the collision. Officers are now appealing for witnesses and anyone with relevant dash cam footage to come forward.
