Two Arrested After Police Drugs Raid in Blackfield

Police have arrested two people following a drugs raid at a property in Blackfield this morning (Sunday 19 October)

Officers executed a search warrant at an address in Newlands Close as part of ongoing efforts to tackle drug-related activity in the area.

During the operation, police seized a quantity of suspected controlled drugs.

The raid was carried out jointly by officers from the Waterside and Totton Neighbourhood Policing Teams, the Neighbourhood Enforcement Team, and the Lyndhurst District Policing Team. Police dog Lacey also assisted in searching the property.

A 43 year old man from Hythe was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A and B drugs. A 17 year old boy, also from Hythe, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and B drugs.

Both suspects remain in police custody.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said:

“If you are concerned about drug related activity where you live please inform us as we know how impactive it is.”
