Three Arrested After Scrap Metal Taken From East Tytherley Building

Three men have been arrested after police were called to reports of metals being taken from a building in East Tytherley.

Officers were alerted at around 9.40am on Monday, 1 December, after loud noises were heard coming from a property in Lockerley Road. When police arrived, they stopped a vehicle at the scene and discovered a quantity of scrap metal inside, including copper piping and radiators. The vehicle, along with an angle grinder, was seized.

A 23 year old man, a 28 year old man and a 46 year old man, all from the Romsey area, were arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling with intent to steal. They were taken into custody and later released on police bail while enquiries continue.
