Suspect Arrested in Motorcycle Theft and Drug Investigation Across Eastleigh and Southampton

A man has been arrested in connection with a series of motorcycle thefts following a coordinated operation by Eastleigh’s Neighbourhood Enforcement Team and local Neighbourhood Policing officers.

The arrest took place earlier today at a residential address in Southampton, where officers executed a planned operation targeting a suspect believed to be linked to multiple motorcycle thefts across Eastleigh and Southampton.

During the search, officers recovered a stolen motorcycle along with a quantity of items suspected to be either stolen or used in criminal activity. In addition to these findings, cannabis, weighing scales, and multiple offensive weapons were also discovered at the scene.

As a result, the suspect was further arrested on suspicion of:
• Possession with intent to supply controlled drugs
• Possession of offensive weapons

A number of mobile phones, clothing items, and several pairs of designer trainers were also seized as part of the investigation, which police say could be vital evidence in building the wider case.

A police spokesperson said, “Let this be a clear message: if you’re thinking of bring crime into Eastleigh, think again. We’re out there, we’re working together, and we’re not backing down.”

The suspect remains in custody while enquiries continue.
