Stolen Wood Chipper Recovered by Police in Southampton

Police have recovered a stolen wood chipper just a day after it was taken from a building site in Rownhams.

The machinery was reported stolen overnight on 4 December. Following enquiries, officers located the wood chipper the next day in the St James Close area of Southampton. It was subsequently seized and is due to be returned to its rightful owner.

Police say the investigation into the theft remains ongoing.

Officers are urging the public to report any suspicious activity in their neighbourhoods, particularly if they notice plant or farming machinery abandoned in unusual locations. Anyone with information is asked to call 101 or submit details online via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website.
